Notes on power sources

On battery pack

• Store the battery pack at a

temperature between 41°F (5°C)

and 95°F (35°C) for best
performance.

• If you don't use the handset for a

long period of time, remove the
battery pack.

On power failure

• During a power interruption, the

base unit won't operate, and a
phone conversation can't be made
on the handset.

Nickel-Cadmium batteries are recyclable.
You can help preserve our environment by
returning your unwanted batteries to your
nearest Sony Service Center or Factory

Service Center for collection, recycling or
proper disposal.

Note:

In some areas the disposal of nickel-

cadmium batteries in household or business
trash may be prohibited.

Caution:

Do not handle damaged or leaking

nickel-cadmium batteries.

Maintenance

Clean the surface with a soft cloth
slightly moistened with water or a
mild detergent solution. Do not
use any type of abrasive pad,
scouring powder or solvent, such
as alcohol or benzine, as they may
damage the surface.

• If the terminals (metal parts on the

base unit and the handset) are

soiled, wipe them with a soft cloth
or paper.
