Pick up the handset from the

base phone.

lamp lights up.

The LINE lamp on the base
phone lights up. You'll then
hear a dial tone.

If you hear five short error

beeps, move closer to the base

phone.

Dial the phone number.

During a conversation, you can
adjust the handset volume.

in the following table.

) switches the speaker volume bv one of four levels.

Put a call on hold

HOLD

). The TALK/BATT LOW lamp flashes.

Press (

HOLD1

again to resume the conversation.

Switch to tone dialing
temporarily

Press (if-TONE') after vouYe connected.
The line will remain in tone dialing until disconnected.

Notes

• When you increase the sound Volunie, in some cases the back ground noise

may be increased as well. You should adjust the volume accordingly.

• If the handset beeps every second during conversation, move closer to the

base phone; otherwise, the call will be disconnected after one minute.

• While conversing with an outside caller via the base phone, you can't make a

call with the handset. If you press (

talk

/FLASH ), you will hear a busy tone.
