Connections for Playback

You can use this camcorder as a VCR by connecting it directly to your TV tor playback There are
several ways to connect the camcorder to your TV.

Connecting to a TV with Audlo/VIdeo Input Jacks or VCR

Connect the camcorder to the TV using the supplied A/V connecting cable. Set the TV/VCR selector on

the TV to VCR.

If your TV or VCR Is a Monaural Type

Connect only the white plug for audio on both the camcorder and the TV or the VCR. With this

connection, the sound is in monaural.

Note on playing back a bilingual tape
You can listen to the main sound (only) by connecting the L ch plug. If you connect both L ch and R ch.

the sound from both channels is mixed.

Connecting to a TV without Audlo/VIdeo Input Jacks

Connect the camcorder to the TV using the supplied RFU adaptor. Make sure that the TV is turned off to

prevent speaker damage before hooking up your camcorder. Set the channel selector on the RFU
adaptor and your TV to VHF CH 3 or CH 4. whichever is not active in your area. With this connection, the

sound is in monaural.
