Shooting in Each Exposure Mode

—continued

I A: Aperture-Priority Auto

Enables you to set your desired aperture

manually. The camera automatically selects
a suitable shutter speed to give you a
correct exposure. By varying the aperture,
and thus controlling the depth of field, you
can make the background and foreground
sharper, or blur the background. In flash

photography, varying the aperture changes

the flash shooting distance.

For available mode combinations, see
page 64.

Set the exposure mode dial to A, then set the
aperture using the Command Dial.
