The flash can be made to fire every time you take a
picture, or it can be turned off. Choose a mode suitable
for the subject and place you are shooting. Select the
flash mode while the camera is turned on.
Changing the Flash Mode
Press the flash mode
button (<S>i).
• You can check the mode on the
LCD panel
* <*> Auto flash without red-eye reduction 29)
*: <S>(») Auto flash with red-eye reduction (-> 30)
* Flash ON 33)
® Flash OFF (-> 34)
Slow-synchro with red-eye reduction (-> 35)
*: When the flash is set to fire automatically, (V) appears on the LCD
panel when the shutter button Is pressed halfway
• The default setting when the camera is turned on is
(t). To change to <®>(v) after the power is turned on,
turn the power off whan Is displayed. When the
power is turned on a g a i n , w i l l be displayed. To
revert to tha original state, tum the power off when
(S) is selected.
