Slide down the date switch on the side of the
body to "ON". Look into the viewfinder while
pressing down the switch. If the yellow lamp on
the left lights up, the battery has sufficient
voltage. Use a silver oxide battery; either an
Eveready 544 or Mallory PX 28 (6V).

When the battery is exhausted, the film
winding knob will be locked and the shutter can
not be released. Replace the battery or switch
over to the mechanical shutter.
• After removing the battery chamber cover,
the electronic shutter is switched over to the
mechanical shutter (1/125 sec.) automatically.
