After removing all old finger stock gasket, inspect the foam gasket to make sure it
is recessed in the groove located at the back of the channel. If it is not recessed,
replace it with new foam gasket (part# 890645). The new foam gasket is
5 mm (0.2 in) square; the old foam gasket was 6.3 mm (0.25 in) square.

To remove the foam gasket—Grab one end with needle-nose pliers and
gently pull the gasket out from the groove. There is adhesive on the side of
the gasket facing the groove.

To install new foam gasket—Place the gasket into the groove with the
adhesive side facing the groove. Do not twist the gasket and do not place the
gasket to the side of the groove where it will interfere with the finger stock
gasket.
