Replacing bulbs

Removing front fog lamp cover (vehicles
with AMG Sport Package and ML 63 AMG)
1 Cover
2 Front fog lamp
A recess is located on the outer edge of cover
1 (indicated by arrow).
! Do not use sharp objects such as a screw
driver to remove the cover from the
bumper, as this could damage it.
X Insert a flat, blunt plastic object into the
recess.
X Put a soft cloth as a cushion between the
object in the recess and the bumper.
X Pry out cover 1 carefully and pull it out.
Accessing and replacing the front fog
lamp bulb

2 Retaining screws
X Remove retaining screws 2 .
i Corner-illuminating front fog lamps fixed
to cover 3 ( Y page 358) do not have to be
screwed off.
X Remove front fog lamp 1 from the
bumper.
X Pull electrical connector off.
3 Bulb socket for front fog lamp bulb
X Turn bulb socket 3 with the bulb
counterclockwise and remove it.
X Pull the bulb out of bulb socket 3 .
X Gently press the new bulb into bulb socket
3 .
X Place bulb socket 3 back into the housing
and turn it clockwise until it engages.
X Plug in the electrical connector.
Front fog lamps with separat cover:
X Insert front fog lamp 1 into bumper.
X Fasten retaining screws 2 .
X Reinsert the cover and press it in until it
engages.
