Practical hints
Opening/closing in an emergency
Power tilt/sliding sunroof*
You can open or close the tilt/sliding
sunroof manually should an electrical
malfunction occur.
The tilt/sliding sunroof drive is located
behind the lens
1 of the interior overhead
light.
1 Lens
̈ Remove SmartKey from the starter
switch.
̈ Pry off lens 1 using a flat blade
screwdriver.
2 Locking tabs
̈ Slide both locking tabs 2 in the direc-
tion of arrows.
̈ Lower the rear of the cover.
̈ Remove the cover.
̈ Take the crank 3 out of the Operator’s
Manual pouch.
̈ Insert crank 3 through hole on the left
side.
3 Crank
̈ Turn crank 3 clockwise to:
ț slide sunroof closed
ț raise sunroof at the rear
̈ Turn crank 3 counterclockwise to:
ț slide sunroof open
ț lower sunroof at the rear
i Do not disconnect electrical connectors.
i Turn crank 3 slowly and smoothly.
The tilt/sliding sunroof must be synchronized af-
ter being operated manually (
