To secure the beginning of a seam, sew a few stitches forward,

press down and hold the reverse sewing lever (A). Sew a few

stitches in reverse. Release the lever and continue sewing

forward. (1)
To secure the end of a seam, stop stitching at the end of the

seam, press down and hold the reversing lever (A). Sew a

few stitches in reverse, release the lever and sew forward to

the end of the seam. (1)

Turn the handwheel counterclockwise to bring the thread take

up lever to its highest position, raise the presser foot and

remove work behind

the needle and presser foot.

Pull the threads behind the presser foot. Guide the threads to

the side of the face plate and into thread cutter (B). Pull

threads down to cut. (3)
