Print the log file
To print the log file:
1. Type lp -d printername /var/sadm/system/logs/upgrade.log_7.01.01* and press
Return.
2. Check the printer for the hardcopy of the log file.
Note Replace printername with the name of your System’s printer determined in the
step 3 of
“Determine the name of the System printer” on page 23.
Type the command exactly as shown:
• There is a space after lp and after -d.
• Pay close attention to the direction of the slash.
• the character before the d in -d is a “dash” or “minus sign”.
• The character before 7 is an “underscore” or shift dash.
• The last character after 01 is an “asterisk” or a wild card.
Note If you printed the log file for your own records, proceed now to “Verifying the
Update” on page 15 if not already completed.
If you printed the log file to aid in Technical Support, please have it ready to fax
when you call.
