Problem Cause Solution
The mouse locks up as Spectro
Pro starts up Spectro Pro and a serial mouse
conflict (PC) Hold down the Ctrl key during start
up. The program will not
automatically search for the
interface. Click on the correct COM
port for the ULI.
Cannot save a previously
opened experiment file File has been opened in read-
only mode (default). Clear read-only check-box when first
opening file, or save the altered file
under a new name.
Spectro Pro readings do not
match those on
spectrophotometer screen. “Ground Loop.” Computer and
spectrophotometer are using
electricity supplied by two
different circuits. Make sure the computer and the
spectrophotometer are drawing
current from the same circuit.
No data appearing in graph Graph range defined too small
for data to appear Select Autoscale Once or double-
click on the graph and select a larger
range of values for the axes.
