Starting AV8OR 3D in the Aircraft

For best operation, start the AV8OR 3D system after the aircraft power is up and stable. This practice avoids
draining the batteries and any problems due to voltage swings.

To start the AV8OR 3D system in the aircraft:

1. Turn on the INU. The blue light flashes to indicate that the Bluetooth device is ready.

2. Start the Samsung and wait for the Windows desktop to appear.

3. Click the AV8OR 3D icon on the Windows desktop.

4. When the USA map appears, click OK.

5. The first time that AV8OR 3D detects the INU, it displays a message with the specific INU identifier.

Click Select to tell AV8OR 3D to use this INU. After the first startup, AV8OR 3D expects to find the same
INU as before, and does not show the INU Select screen again.

6. Once the communication between AV8OR 3D and the INU is established, the blue light on the INU stays

on. When AV8OR 3D acquires the GPS signals from multiple satellites, it displays the satellite strengths
as colored bars, and, within a minute or so, displays the split 2D/3D synthetic vision view of your
location.

Note: The heading indication will not be correct until the aircraft starts moving.
