Laser Class 2 products:
Do not stare into the laser beam or direct it towards other people
unnecessarily. Eye protection is normally afforded by aversion responses
including the blink reflex.

Looking directly into the beam with optical aids (e.g. binoculars,

telescopes) can be hazardous.

Do not look directly into the beam with optical aids.

Looking into the laser beam may be hazardous to the eyes.

Precautions:
Do not look into the laser beam. Make sure the laser is aimed above or
below eye level. (particularly with fixed installations, in machines, etc.)

Start-up

Inserting/replacing batteries

Remove battery compartment lid and attach handstrap.

Insert batteries, observing correct polarity.

Close the battery compartment again. Replace the batteries when the
symbol

Remove the batteries before any long period of non-use
to avoid the danger of corrosion.

We recommend the usage of AA size max. 1,5V lithium batteries
or rechargable NiMH batteries. The Leica DISTO™ also works
with Alkaline batteries but the battery lifetime will be reduced.

This Leica DISTO™ was delivered with high quality non-rechargable

lithium batteries. Wrong usage of lithium batteries can be hazardous.
Precautions:

Please do not recharge these batteries.

Do not mix lithium batteries with other types of batteries.

Do not use batteries if their casing is damaged.
