Tapes can be played back either in deck 1 or deck 2.
Type of tapes which can be played on this unit:
Norma! position/TYPE i O
High position/TYPE II X
Metal position/TYPE iV X
This unit will not be able to do full justice to characteristics of high-
position tapes and metal position tapes even if they are played back.
Set [SEIHGTOR] to =TAPE/^”.
Press p/^ STOP/EJEGT], load the tape and close
the lid.

Press ^ PLAY] to start play.
Adjust the volume.

To stop play:
Press p/± STOP/EJECT],
To Stop play temporarily:
Press [II PAUSE],
To resume play:
Press [IS PAUSE] again.
The unit’s power is on in the pause mode. Stop tape and turn the unit
off by pressing [Ü/± STOP/EJECT] when leaving the unit.

Insert the tape with the exposed tape facing you. Press REW/REV] or [S>^ FF/CUE] 1rs the stop mode.

To rewind To fast-forward
REW/REV ^ FP/CUE
Do not press [^PLAY] when rewinding or fast forwarding, as this may
jam the tape.
Be sure to press STOP/EJECT] before the next operation.

Press REW/REV] or FF/CUE] during playback.
Tape piay is resumed when the button is released.

Playback relay (deck 2 to deck 1 )
When deck 2 single side playback has finished, deck 1 playback
starts automatically.
1 Insert the playback tapes into deck 1 and deck 2.
( 2 i Press deck 2 PLAY] to start play.
S Press deck 1 [Si PAUSE], then press PLAY].
Fuii auto-stop;
The automatic stop system will release the buttons when the tape
reaches the end during play or when recording, fast forwarding or
rewinding.
