Recording Tape to Tape
Set [SELECTOR] to “TAPE/®”.
Press deck 1 p/^ STOP/EJECT] and load the tape
to be recorded.
Load the tape with the side to be recorded facing upward.
Press deck 2 $TOP/E-JEGT] and load the tape
^ Y’l
to be played back.
Load the tape with the side to be played facing upward.
.j ^ Press deck 1 [ii PAUSE], then press ^
> PLAY] is also depressed with [®
Press deck 2 PLAY] to start the recording.
Deck 2 playback and deck 1 recording start simultaneously.
To Stop the recording:
Press deck 1 p/A STOP/EJECT].
{Playback does not stop.)
To iemporariiy stop recording:
Press deck 1 p PAUSE].
To resume recording, press [BS PAUSE] again.
if the front side of the playback tape finishes first:
Deck 1 continues recording even if decii 2 is stopped.
1. Press deck 1 p/± STOP/EJECT].
2. Press deck 2 STOP/EJECT] and turn the tape over.
3. Press deck 1 [81 PAUSE], then press [®
4. Press deck 2
^ PLAY],
if the front side of the recording tape finishes first:
Deck 2 continues playing even if deck 1 is stopped.
1. Press deck 2 p/^ STOP/EJECT].
2. Press deck 1 [1/^ STOP/EJECT] and turn the tape over.
Take up the leader tape (See page 15).
3. Press deck 1 [10 PAUSE], then press [@
4. Press deck 2 [E> PLAY].
Using the sleep timer
(Available only when you are iisiening to the radio or a CD)
This timer turns your unit OFF at the set time (Max, 2 hours, settable
at 30-minute intervals), it lets you fall asleep while listening to music.
While enjoying the desired source:
Press [SLEEP] to select the desired time.

Every time you press the button:

After the set time has elapsed, the radio or CD will be stopped.
The unit wiil be turned off if the tape is not travelling (ail the indicators
on the display wifi go off).
® Be sure to stop the tape when using the steep timer, except if you
are recording.
® If (SELECTOR] is switched to ‘TAPE/0S§", the set time is can­
celled.
To cancei the sleep timer:
Press [SLEEP] repeatedly until “SLEEP’ is cleared.
To confirm the remaining time;
Press [SLEEP].
To change the time remaining during operation:
Press [SLEEP] to show the remaining time then press [SLEEP] to
select the desired time.
If you are recording during sleep operation:
When the sleep timer reaches its set time, the radio or CD will stop,
but the tape will continue until it reaches the end of the tape.
The display indicates that the unit is recording with no sound. ^
In this case, press p/± STOP/EJECT] to stop recording.
