Recording of index Signals
Index signals will be recorded automatically in the following cases;

• At the tape position at which the Record Button is pushed to start recording.

• At the tape position at which a Timer Recording is started.

In the following cases, the Intro Search function may not work correctly:

• When using a tape recorded in the LP mode. (It is recommended that you use tapes recorded in the SP mode.)
• When some loud sounds are recorded between programmes or Karaoke tracks or at the beginning of

programmes.

• When the search for a Programme or Karaoke track is started from close to the beginning of the tape or close to

an interval between programmes.

• When a Programme or Karaoke track is very short (less than 40 seconds).

• When using tapes with poor quality, for example tapes that have been dubbed repeatedly.
• When there are passages with very weak sound or passages without any sound in a Programme or Karaoke

track.

• When the intervals between Programmes or Karaoke tracks are shorter than 6 seconds.
• When using tapes recorded with the Fade-in or Fade-out recording function.
• When some narration has been recorded at the beginning of the Programmes or Karaoke tracks.

• When using a tape recorded in the NTSC system.
