Adding or Removing Windows Services for UNIX Components

To add or remove Windows Services for UNIX components.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.

2. If your computer is running Windows NT, in the list, click Windows Services for UNIX, and then

click Add/Remove. If your computer is running Windows 2000, in the list, click Windows
Services for UNIX, and then click Change.

3. In the Services for UNIX Wizard dialog box, click Add or Remove Features.

4. Click the icon next to each component you want to add and click the appropriate option. To

remove a component, click the icon next to the component, and then click Entire feature will not
be available. When you are finished choosing components to add or remove, click Next to finish
changing your Windows Services for UNIX installation.

Troubleshooting Installation

If the installation does not complete successfully, verify the following:

Sufficient disk space is available on the selected drive.

Ensure that no software providing similar services is running.

You are logged on with an account that has sufficient rights and permissions to install the software
in specified directory as well as in the Windows system directory and registry.
