Kofax Desktop 2.0 Installation Guide
Kofax Desktop is an easy-to-use, document scan application. You can scan documents from
Windows Desktop, Windows Explorer, and Microsoft Office 2007 programs, including Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook mail messages. You can also scan documents to Microsoft
SharePoint 2007 from Outlook, Windows Desktop, Windows Explorer, and Windows notification
Before installing Kofax Desktop, review the requirements in this section.
Recommended Computer Hardware
To ensure optimal performance, your computer should meet or exceed these requirements.
Processor: Dual core
Memory: 1 GB
Disk space for software installation: 3 GB (allow more space for scanned images)
Monitor resolution: 1280 x 1024
You must have a working Internet connection to download the Kofax Desktop installer, purchase
the product, and register or unregister the license. For details, see Installing Kofax Desktop on
page 7 and Removing Kofax Desktop on page 9.

Integration with Microsoft Programs
You can use Kofax Desktop to scan directly from the following Microsoft Office 2007 programs:
