5.6 Periodic Maintenance
Performing Periodic Maintenance will help keep your laser printer in its
best working condition and give you the highest quality output.
Table 5.1 lists messages, maintenance cycle and recommended procedures
for periodic maintenance.

The “CHNG CORONA M85” can be performed by the operator. Instruc­
tion for Transfer Corona Unit is included with the replacement unit box.
It is recommended that the “CHNG FUSER M86” be performed by a
qualified service engineer. Please contact your maintenance organization.
Resetting the LCD
Messages
You may turn off the “CHNG CORONA M85” or “CHNG FUSER M86”
messages on the display by following the instructions below.
Message Turn off Sequence
CHNG CORONA M85 Power on while pressing the PRINT key.
CHNG FUSER M86 Power on while pressing the A key.
Also, you may turn off the “CHNG DEV U26” message on the display by
following the instructions below.
Message Turn off Sequence
CHNG DEV U26 Power on while pressing the RESET/TEST
key.
