• The measuring unit consists of sensitive precision optical and
electronic components. Do not drop the instrument and protect it
against vibration!
• Do not touch the measuring port and keep it protected when not in
use. It is recommended that the instrument be placed in the protective
holder when not in use.
• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight and do not store it in dusty
environments.
• As with every precision measuring unit, extreme temperature
differences may affect the measurement results. For this reason,
please avoid temperature shocks and changes in climate
(condensation on the optics). Calibrate the unit before each use.
• Please protect the measuring unit agianst moisture, chemicals, and
aggressive vapors.
• The protective holder and housing are resistant to a number of
solvents. However, resistance to all chemicals can not be ensured. For
this reason, use a soft, moist cloth for cleaning. In the case of severe
contamination, some ethanol or alcohol may also be used to clean the
outer housing.
• If you do not intend to use the measuring unit for a long period of time,
remove the battery to prevent leakage and thus damage to the unit.
• Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. If your measuring unit should
experience a malfunction, our customer service will be glad to help
you as quickly as possible.
