FEPIM SPECIFICATIONS
This appendix provides specifications for the Fast Ethernet (Port)
Interface Modules. Cabletron Systems reserves the right to change these
specifications at any time without notice. The HSIM-FE6 supports the
following Fast Ethernet (Port) Interface Modules: the
FE-100TX , the
FE-100FX , and the FE-100F3 .
B.1 FE-100TX
The FE-100TX uses an RJ45 connector supporting Category 5
(85 – 111 ohms) Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) and Shielded Twisted
Pair (STP) cabling.
The slide switch on the FE-100TX determines the crossover status of the
cable pairs. If the switch is on the
X side, the pairs are internally crossed
over. If the switch is on the = side, the pairs are not internally crossed
over. Figure B-1 shows the pinouts for the FE-100TX with the switch in
each position.
