Opening/Closing the Tailgate Using the Tailgate
Outer Handle and Inner Handle
When all the doors are unlocked, the tailgate
is unlocked. Press and hold the tailgate outer
handle and lift open the tailgate.
Even if the tailgate is locked, you can open the
tailgate if you carry the smart entry remote.
When the Power Tailgate Open By Outer
Handle setting is On (Power/Manual), you
can operate the power tailgate by pressing
and releasing the tailgate outer handle.

To manually close the tailgate, grab the inner
handle, pull the tailgate down, and push it
closed from outside.
