Playback

Preparation

1. Slide the POWER switch to the right.

2. Insert the recorded cassette.
3. Set the EDIT switch to “OFF”.

4. Select the playback sound with the AUDIO

SELECTOR switch:

Hi-Fi : To reproduce the sound on the Hi-Fi

sound track.

NORMAL : To reproduce the sound on the normal

sound track.

MIX

: To reproduce both the sound on the

Hi-Fi and on the normal sound tracks.

5. Set the CAMERA/VCR selector switch to “VCR”.

Operations

■| Playback: Press the PLAY ► button.

2 Cue playback: Keep the FWD 0 button pressed

during playback.

0 Review playback: Keep the REV 0 button

pressed during playback.

Still playback: Press the PAUSE/STILL

II button

during playback.
• To return to normal playback, press this

button again.

0 Press the STOP ■ button to finish playback.

Fast forward

Press the FWD 0 button to rapidly wind the tape

forward.

Rewind

Press the REV 0 button to rapidly rewind the tape.

Set the DIGITAL TRACKING switch to “ON” for

normal use. (The tracking will be adjusted

automatically.)

If the tracking is not adjusted properly, for
example when playing back a tape recorded on

another unit, set this switch to “OFF” and adjust

in the following way.

2 Adjust the tracking with the TRACKING or ►

buttons to minimize noise.

Notes:

The sound will be played back only during normal

playback.

• Playback: The tape will be rewound automatically

when It reaches its end.

Fast forward: The tape will stop automatically when

it reaches its end.

Rewind: The tape will stop automatically when it

reaches its beginning.

Still playback: If the Camcorder is left in this mode

for about 6 minutes, it will switch over to the stop
mode, to protect the tape and video heads.

To ensure optimum sound reproduction, set the

AUDIO SELECTOR switch to the position "Hi-Fi" for
ordinary use.
