Note
Cement product absorbs moisture . Put lid on container when not is use to keep out humidity .

Note
Curing cement for 24 hours before performing pressure test is strongly recommended .

Caution!
Follow instructions on pipe cement container before use . This is a strong solvent . Wear gloves .
Avoid contact with skin . If cement contacts skin, wash with water while cement is still wet .

1 . Arrange fittings and PVC pipe as needed .

2 . Cut PVC pipe to length so that ends are square . Remove any burrs with sandpaper (supplied) .

3 . Clean pipe and fitting with dry paper towel or cloth . Remove all dirt, grease, oil and water .

4 . Check for proper fit before applying cement . Pipe should snugly fit 1/3 to 2/3 of the way into the

fitting . Sand pipe if needed .

5 . Use applicator to spread a thin, uniform coat of cement around outside end of pipe to depth of fitting .

6 . Apply thin, uniform coat of cement to inside of fitting . Prevent excess cement from forming on inside

of pipe or outside of fitting .

7 . Insert pipe to bottom of inside of fitting, using a 1/4-twist while inserting . Hold in place for one minute .

8 . Remove excess cement from outside and inside of pipe with dry paper towel . Excess cement will

continue to drip from pipe and fitting and may remain liquid if not completely removed .

9 . Allow five minutes for good handling strength and one hour cure time before pressure testing . High

humidity or cold weather requires longer cure time . Cement cures to full strength in 24-72 hours .

10 . After curing, run water through finished assembly to flush out and neutralize any cement inside pipe .
