OVEN WILL NOT
SELF-CLEAN
* Oven temperature is too high to set self-cieaning operation. Allow the range to
cool to room temperature and reset the controls.
« Door latch handle not moved all the way to the right.

® Make sure electrica! plug is plugged into a live power outlet
»Burner holes on the side or around the top of burner may be clogged. Remove
burner and dean them with a safety pin or paper clip. Make sure you do not
enlarge the holes.
* Burners may not be fitted correctly onto the mounting brackets. Remove and
reinstall them properly.

® If burner flames look like (A), call for service. Normal burner flames should
look like (B) or (C), depending on the type of gas you use.
® With LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer cones is normal.

® If range is connected to LP gas, check all steps in the installation Instructions.
OVEN DOES NOT
COOK PROPERLY
® Make sure thermostat capillary bulb (located in upper portion of oven) is in
correct position, not touching oven sides and not coated with anything,
® Aluminum foil being used improperly in oven,
® Oven vent blocked on top of range.
e Incorrect cookware being used. Check each cooking section for cookware tips
or recommendations.
B Oven bottom not securely seated in position,.
® Check common baking, roasting and broiling problems on pages 22-25.
OVEN WILL NOT
WORK
• Plug on range is not completely inserted in the eiectrical outlet.
• The circuit breaker in your house has been tripped, or a fuse has been blown,
• Oven controls not properly set.

B Range electrical plug must be securely seated in a live power outlet. Check for
blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker

»Bulb may be loose or burned out

STRONG ODOR
«Improper alr/gas ratio in oven. Adjust oven burner air shutter.
B An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is normal for the first few
times oven is used. This is temporary.
