SHELL STITCH D ^
Shell stitch is for seaming and overcasting sheer, soft fabrics in
one operation. It also produces a delicate shell hem on lingerie
and other fine garments.
SEAM AND OVERCAST IN ONE
Place the right sides of the fabric to gether and position under the
presser foot so that the zig-zag part of the stitch sews just over the
raw edge.
SHELL TUCKS
Turn under the raw edge and press. Place the fabric right side up
so that the zigzag part of the stitch sews just over the folded edge,
pulling the fabric in to form a shell hem. Trim away excess fabric
close to the stitching line.
PUNTADA DE LENCERIA d
La puntada de lencería es para coser y sobrehilar en una operación
tejidos finos y suaves. También produce un dobladillo de concha
delicado en lencería y otras prendas finas.
COSTURA Y SOBREHILADO EN UNO
Colocar los derechos del tejido juntos y posicionar debajo del
prénsatelas, de manera que la parte del zig-zag de la puntada
cosa sobre el borde del tejido.
DOBLADILLO DE CONCHA
Girar hacia abajo el borde del tejido y planchar. Colocar el derecho
del tejido arriba, de manera que la parte del zig-zag de la puntada
cosa sobre el borde doblado, estirando el tejido y formando un
dobladillo de concha.
Recortar el tejido sobrante cerca de la línea de puntadas.
