TUNING IN TO A STATION

1 Turn the HOLD/LOCK/OPEN switch to

LOCK.

2 Press RADIO ON/OFF BAND repeatedly to

select a band.

3 Press + or — to tune in to a station.
After listening,
keep RADIO ON/OFF BAND
pressed for about 1 second to turn off the power.

For quick tuning

Keep either + or — pressed for 1 or 2 seconds.

When a station is tuned in, the frequency indicator

stops automatically. However, it may not stop if the
broadcast signal is weak.

For better reception ^ □

FM/TV/WEATHER: The headphone cord functions

as the FM antenna. Keep it extended.

AM: Turn the unit to find the position that gives the

best reception.

To listen to FM stereo broadcasts ^ □

Set the FM MODE switch inside the cassette holder

to STEREO.

If the FM stereo signal is weak, set it to MONO. The

sound will be heard in monaural, but distortion will be

reduced.
