3.7.3

Resetting a Preventive Maintenance Item

When a PM has “tripped” (exceeded its limit), it

will appear in the “tripped items” PM report. When
the item has been inspected or serviced, it must be
reset for the next interval. Resetting the item leaves
all the information the same except the value, which
is reset to zero. The PM history report will show
all the times and at what point this item has been
reset.

To reset a PM Item, select “Preventive Maint”

from the “Configure” menu as seen in figure 3.1. A
sub-menu with “By Machine” and “By Die” will
appear. Select the desired sub-menu and a dialog
similar to figure 3.13 should appear. This dialog
shows a list of all machines or dies depending on the
menu selection. Select the machine or die for which
a PM item is to be configured and hit the “Select”
button. A dialog similar to figure 3.14 should
appear. Select a PM item to reset and hit the “Reset
PM Item” button. A message box will appear to
asking to verify that the item is to be reset. Hit
“Yes” to reset the item, and “No” to cancel the
operation.

3.7.4 Deleting a Preventive Maintenance Item

If a PM item no longer needs to be monitored, it

may be deleted. To delete a PM Item, select
“Preventive Maint” from the “Configure” menu as
seen in figure 3.1. A sub-menu with “By Machine”
and “By Die” will appear. Select the desired sub-
menu and a dialog similar to figure 3.13 should
appear. This dialog shows a list of all machines or
dies depending on the menu selection. Select the
machine or die for which a PM item is to be
configured and hit the “Select” button. A dialog
similar to figure 3.14 should appear. Select a PM
item to reset and hit the “Delete PM Item” button.
A message box will appear to asking to verify that
the item is to be deleted. Hit “Yes” to delete the
item, and “No” to cancel the operation.
