Turn off the power

In order to minimize power consumption, set the power switch to the "OFF" position

after

using the equipment to turn off the power.

Standby

When the power switch is set to the "ON" position, press the "POWER" key on the remote control to enter

the standby mode. In standby mode, the indicator light on the power switch will flash green

,

To turn on the speaker, either press the "POWER" key on the remote control again, or move the power

switch on the IPD-4500 system to the "OFF" position and move it to "ON" position again, and the IPD-4500

system will be ready to play.

Although this mode can reduce power consumption, it does not completely shut off the IPD-4500 system.

In order to minimize power drain, it is recommended that the power switch be set to the "OFF" position if

the IPD-4500 system is not to be used for a long time.

Built-in NI-MH rechargeable batteries

1. There are Nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries built into the IPD-4500 system.

Plug the barrel plug on the adapter into the jack marked

on the operating panel of the IPD-

4500 system, and then plug the external 9 V DC@ 2A power supply adapter into an AC wall outlet. After

this connection is completed, the rechargeable batteries in the IPD-4500 system can be charged whether

the system is being played or not. If there is an

iPod®/iPhone®

with a 30PIN connector connected to the

iPod®/iPhone®

socket of the IPD-4500 system, then the

iPod®/iPhone®

can be charged at the same time.

2. The LED light between the power switch on the panel of the IPD-4500 system and the

iPod®/iPhone®

socket is the charger power level indicator light.

In the OFF mode:

a. When the AC IN cord is not plugged in: the light is off

b. When the AC IN cord is plugged in: if the power level is sufficient — the light is off

Charging – the green light flashes

In the ON mode:

a. When the AC IN cord is not plugged in: if the startup power level is sufficient for normal use —

the green light is on

Warning of insufficient power level — the red light is on

The power is depleted — the light is off.

b. When the AC IN cord is plugged in, if the power level is sufficient — the green light is on

Charging — the green light flashes

Signs of abnormal battery activity:

a. When the unit is not plugged into an external power supply, no power is available to the IPD-4500 – or

the power light is off.

b. When the IPD-4500 is plugged into an external power supply – The red light flashes.

Note: "Abnormal battery condition" refers to an abnormal state caused by improper installation or use of

the battery or other problems including damage to the battery, incorrect battery polarity, lack of a

battery or end of life of the battery.
