When a new package SSF-REL_<new ssf release version>_EL5_R1.1.tar.gz or
SSF-REL_<new ssf release version>_EL6_R1.1.tar.gz
is received with new
release, follow the below step to upgrade:
Run the below command to uninstall the existing SSF package RunSSFon<Linux OS
version>_1.1.8_i686
, which is already installed on the Linux OS distribution.
$ sh RunSSFon<Linux OS version>_1.1.8_i686 uninstall
The below script checks the existing system. It provides options for complete uninstallation
and SSF uninstallation.
Under complete uninstallation, it does complete uninstallation of SSF and all the dependent
packages. It is not required to uninstall the dependent packages on every time. Only the SSF
uninstallation is required when user gets the new SSF package with new release.
