The following are some common problems users encounter when printing to
an Monarch print server device. The problems are grouped by type of
network environment.
NetWare Environment
Problem
Solution
Print job is garbage.
Check for NO TABS in the capture
statement.
Print job is not printing.
Use PCONSOLE to make sure the print
server is attached and the queue is
attached to the correct port.
Graphic jobs are getting cut off.
Use MonarchNet for NetWare to change
the timeout settings.
PJL=Garbage on printouts.
Use a MonarchNet utility to turn ALS off.
TCP/IP Environment
Problem
Solution
The print job is stair stepping off
the page.
Add LF to the remote queue name.
Print jobs are coming out of the
wrong port.
Add the port number to the remote queue
name.
Can't print from Windows 95/98.
Get a third party LPR.
