Turning the power on

The power indicator lights green.

OFF:

The power indicator turns off.

The power indicator lights red if the standby mode is set by
pressing <ON STANDBY> or [POWER OFF].

¢ Turning the power off:

Press <POWER> again.

• When the power is turned off from the standby mode, it is set to the

standby mode when the power is turned back on.

NOTE:
• When in the standby mode, a very small amount of power is

consumed, even if all the indicators are turned off.

Some discs may be designed by the software producer to operate
in ways other than described in this manual.

To stop playback

• Playback stops and the wallpaper is displayed.

If “AUTO POWER MODE” at “OTHER SETUP” is set to “ON”
in the initial settings (

page 27), the power automatically

turns off and is set to the standby mode if the player is left in the
stop mode for about 30 minutes.

¢ Resume play memory function

If

is pressed during playback, the position at which the disc was

stopped is stored in the memory (“

1

” flashes on the display).

If

1

is pressed now, playback resumes from the point at which it was

stopped.
The resume play memory function is canceled if the disc tray is
opened or

2

is pressed again.

• The resume play memory function only functions for discs for which

the elapsed time is indicated on the display during playback.

• The resume play memory function does not function during menu

playback.
