Greasing the Backhoe

Economical and efficient operation of any machine is dependant upon regular and proper lubrication of all moving parts with a
quality lubricant. All parts provided with grease fittings should be lubricated with a good quality chassis lube type grease. If any
grease fittings are missing, replace them immediately.

NOTE: Moving the Swivel, Boom, Crowd Arm and Bucket to different positions first will provide better access for some fittings. You will

need to remove the Foot Plate to access the rear Grease Fitting on the Swing Cylinder.

Tools and Supplies Needed:

Grease Gun (general purpose grease)

Rags

3.

Wipe any grease or dirt from all
Grease Fittings with a rag.

4.

Grease the Backhoe at all fifteen
Grease Fittings (Figure 32) until
you notice grease escaping from
the joint.

5.

Wipe off any excess grease with a
rag.
