INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FBI180-07 & FBI180-08 180MM FAT TIRE CONVERSION KIT
NOTE: These two kits are installed similarly, the thickness of the spacers just varies slightly.
• The FBI Fat Tire kit consists of spacers to position your new, wider wheel and tire within the stock
swingarm with optimal clearances around tire, belt and swingarm.
• This kit is designed for use with an 18” X 5-1/2” wheel and a D407 180/55B18 tire is recommended. An
aftermarket wide fender must be used with this kit as the stock fender is not wide enough—FBI offers
several options for rear wide and long fender kits.
• Your stock pulley and drive belt can be reused
• The FBI180-07 kit consists of (3) spacer components installed as follows.
o (1) Cylindrical Spacer—goes on the axle between the brake arm and the hub on the non-drive
side
o (1) Slightly Cone-shaped spacer—goes between the hub and swingarm on the drive side (with
the large end against the swingarm)
o (1) Large washer/spacer with bolt holes—goes between the hub and the pulley.
• The FBI180-08 kit consists of (3) spacer components installed as follows.
o (1) Cylindrical Spacer—goes on the axle between the brake arm and the hub on the non-drive
side
o (1) Thick flat washer/spacer—goes between the hub and swingarm on the drive side (with the
large end against the swingarm)
o (1) Thin flat washer/spacer—goes between the cush-drive hub/bowl and the pulley.
• Go by the Harley-Davidson Service Manual for your bike model for removal and re-installation of your
wheel and tire.
