Frothing Milk

We recommend the use of a coffee thermometer when frothing milk.
Clip this onto the side of your milk jug.

• Select the function STEAM by pressing the button .
• Wait until the word “STEAM” is no longer flashing.
• Fill the milk jug (600ml steel milk jug) with about 200ml of fresh cold milk. We recommend you froth the milk for one
drink at a time.
• Before placing the milk jug under the steam wand, turn the knob "A" (fig.11) to the left in order to remove any remaining
water in the pipes.
• Lower the steam wand into the milk jug ensuring that the jet goes to the bottom of the container. (fig. 11A)
• Turn the steam control knob to the left to release the steam and heat the milk for a few seconds.
• Important: Do not heat the milk excessively. If the milk is heated excessively (cooked), it will no longer form froth.
• After a few seconds raise the spout to just below the surface of the milk (Fig. 11B)
• Tilt your jug on an angle and bring your wand up to the surface on the edge. A slight crackling sound and swirling of milk
will tell you that it’s in the right place. If it sounds very piercing the wand is in too deep. Trying raising it a little closer to the surface.
• When you’re satisfied with the quantity of froth, slightly lower the wand in the milk until the correct temperature is reached then
close the steam tap.
