Insert the four posts with the
split sleeves attached up
through the bottoms of the
lower frame or shelf as shown.
Turn the assembly upright and seat the
lower frame or shelf firmly onto the split
sleeves. To protect the finish, use a
rubber mallet or a hammer with a block
of wood as shown.

Attach split sleeves to the top groove of each post.
Then lower the top frame over the posts and seat
the frame collars over the posts. The corner
collars are tapered: be sure the wider part is at the
bottom.

Use a mallet or a hammer and board as
shown below.
