The following configuration information is only required if N-Way multicast bridging services are to be used. For
simple live streaming, FTP Upload and on-demand playback, these settings are not required. This connection to
the server is not needed.

The use of N-Way bridging services requires that the Telepresenter be enabled for an N-Way connection. This
setting is located on the N-Way menu under the Configuration tab.

The following is an example of the N-Way setup screen:

The Username and Password fields must match the N-Way Server account setup for your organization. The
Primary server field is the domain name or IP address of the N-Way Server to be used. The port setting must
match the port setting configured in the server. A TCP connection to this port on the server must be allowed to
pass any firewalls in use.

The Secondary server field is the domain name or IP address and port of a backup or rollover server, which will
be contacted if the connection to the Primary server fails. All units in a session must be connected to the same
server for communications to function.

After filling in all the required fields the state should be set to “Enabled” and an update done. The web page will
reflect connection status or connection attempts in the “Connection state” line of the page.

If a session is not using the N-Way Server for communication, the state should be “Disabled” as all traffic
generated by the unit will be forwarded to the server whenever a connection is present. This could unnecessarily
clog up the local network connections for the organization.
