Removal and Replacement: Water Pump

Water Pump

The pump provides the force to move the water
from the reservoir to the freezing surface. The
pump does not need oil, but if it becomes noisy,
overheats, or will not pump it should be replaced.
Be certain to confirm electrical faults with a
voltmeter or ohmmeter before replacing the pump.
The pump should operate with the compressor.

1. Unplug or disconnect the electrical power.

2. Open the bin door and unscrew the knobs
holding the hood to the bin.

3. Pull the hood off the bin. Note: the bin door will
come out the back of the hood when the hood is
removed from the bin.

4. Remove screw and pump shield.

5. Unplug the pump from its connection at the
back of the stainless steel wall.

6. Loosen the two fasteners holding the pump to
the bracket.

7. Pull discharge hose from pump discharge port.

8. Remove pump from ice machine.

9. Reverse above steps to replace.

Note: The two pump fasteners are hex head

screws. When the unit is built in, they can be

loosened using a

" socket.
