Emphasis sub-menu:

Enables (ON) or disables (OFF) the use of emphasis by recording. Tapes
recorded with emphasis will playback correctly regardless of the option selected
here (Autodetection).

Source select sub-menu:

Let's you select the audio source type for recording:

Analog

Digital

Reference Clock sub-menu:

Indicates Stelladat II on which clock to line up. Internal makes it derive its clock
from the internal oscillator. Digital does it take the clock from the incoming
digital signal. Lastly, External Ref orders it to take the clock from the incoming
sync signal (via BNC socket).
