2.2.1 Hydraulic connections for control units
Flowmeters with mounting flange 463/473 must be installed to specific control units
(Ref. to ARAG General catalogue).
If you need to install the flowmeter to an existing control unit that had no flowmeter,
consider that you shall order some new linkages to allow for assembly recomposi-
tion after installation of the flowmeter (Ref. to ARAG General catalogue, Control units
section, Assembly Kit).
CAUTION: BEFORE ASSEMBLING THE FLOWMETER TO AN EXISTING UNIT, MAKE
SURE THAT THE OPERATING PRESSURE IS SUITABLE FOR THE CONTROL UNIT.
ARAG shall not be held liable for any and all damage to equipment, persons, animals
or things arising out of the failure to abide by the above instructions.
Remember to duly position any seals and O-Rings in their seats on flanged cou-
plings.
Note: in the control units with standard configuration, the flowmeter is usually as-
sembled between the control valve and the section valves unit. This does not mean
that the flowmeter can not be installed at any other position; just consider that if
installed in different positions, the flowmeter will read different values according to
the connected components.
It is recommended to filter the fluid.
In order to obtain a correct reading, contact a dealer or installer that can give you
advice on how to correctly position the flowmeter inside the control unit.
