NOTE: The Aurora Browse system includes a component called the
SmartBin Encoder, which is different from a Media SmartBin or a
Server SmartBin because it monitors bins for the creation of low-
resolution proxy material. The SmartBin Encoder is installed on the
Aurora Browse Advanced Encoder.
Types of SmartBins
The Aurora Edit system offers three types of SmartBins:
• Transfer
• Shared
• Media Import
SmartBins work differently depending on the type of shared storage network
you are using: Open SAN, NAS, or K2.
