A Quick reference to Xpanel’s menus & toolbars

File menu commands

The F

ILE

menu contains commands that are related to opening, saving, importing or

exporting panels or projects.

Each of the F

ILE

menu commands is described in the following table:

New

Design mode only.

Opens a new, empty panel in Xpanel.

Toolbar button:

Open

Opens the O

PEN

ANEL

window, which lets you select an existing

panel to open.

Save

Design mode only.
Saves changes made to the currently selected panel, as well as any
specified metadata.

If saving the panel for the first time, it opens the S

window (otherwise it simply saves using the current panel name).

Toolbar button:

Right-click the panel’s tab and select the S

AVE

command.

Save As

Design mode only.

Opens the S

AVE

P

ANEL

window, which allows you to save the

currently selected panel using a new name and/or directory
location.

Close

Closes the currently selected panel. If the panel contains unsaved
changes, the C

LOSE

P

ANEL

window appears and offer you the

opportunity to save the changes before closing the panel.

Alternative access:

C

LOSE

button (upper-right corner) of the selected panel.

Right-click the panel’s tab and select the C

command.
