Building and editing panels
Opening an existing panel or project
When Xpanel’s Startup options are configured to auto-load a panel or project (see page 7-4 ),
each time Xpanel is opened, the panel or project specified will automatically be loaded and
displayed in Xpanel.
You can also access and open existing panels and projects using the following methods:
To open an existing panel:

Select the F ILE >O PEN menu command or press Ctrl+O. The O PEN P ANEL window
appears. Navigate to and select the panel. Click O PEN .
Or,
• Click the O PEN button in the Design mode toolbar. The O PEN P ANEL window
appears. Navigate to and select the panel. Click O PEN .
Or,
• Open the A SSET B ROWSER (Ctrl+A) and select the P ANELS tab. Navigate to the panel
and then double-click its name.
To open an existing project:

Select the F ILE >P ROJECT >O PEN menu command. The O PEN P ROJECT window
appears. Navigate to and select the Xpanel project file (*.xpp). Click O PEN .

Panels and projects created on another Vertigo Suite system can be imported into the
system and then opened using the above methods. See
“Exporting and importing a panel
or project” on page 4-49 for more information.
