3  Power-Generating Unit Protection Test

Instructions for the Protection Test of the Power-Generating Unit

11. If your Sunny Central is equipped with Optiprotect, check whether

the switches on the motor-driven circuit breakers are in the OFF

position.
If this is not the case, set all switches to OFF.

12. Open the measurement and disconnect terminals of the voltage

meter.

13. Ensure that all poles are free of voltage.
14. Ground and short-circuit the inverter.
15. Cover or isolate any adjacent live components.
16. Unscrew the protective cover over the fuses.
17. Remove all fuses and disconnection blades from all fuse holders.

Use the LV/HRC fuse handle.

3.5 Conducting the Power-Generating Unit

Protection Test

Materials required for test:

☐ Three-phase testing device with the following characteristics:

– Trigger function for monitoring the potential-free contact
– Voltage range up to 530 V

AC

(line-to-line) with precision better than 0.1%

– Logging function

☐ Measurement cables
☐ Laptop for changing the inverter parameters
