The drill has a forward/reverse selector located above the switch trigger.
Press selector F(orward) on left side of machine (to the right side): drill turns right
(forward/fasten screws)
Press selector R(everse) on right side (to the left side): drill turns left (reverse/loosen
screws)
- SPEED SELECTOR (FIG C)
Your cordless drill has a two-speed gear, designed for drilling or driving at LO (1) or HI (2)
speed. A slide switch is located on top of your drill to select either LO (1) or HI (2) speed.
- LCD battery display (FIG D)
Your cordless drill is equipped with an LCD display. You can check the remaining battery
capacity by pressing the button under the LCD display.
Note : the Li-ion battery is protect by a PCB (protect circuit board) to avoid that remaining
battery capacity becomes too low (then battery can be damaged)
- TPR soft grip.
Your cordless drill is equipped with TPR soft grip and protective parts. TPR (Thermoplastic
rubber) is elastic, chock absorbing and environmental friendly (reqycable)
- LED light. (FIG E)
Your cordless drill is equipped with an LED light at the front (above the ON/OFF switch).

- AUXILIARY HANDLE
Your cordless drill is equipped with an auxiliary handle for ease of operation and to
prevent loss of control.
- IMPACT Function.
Your cordless drill can be used as impact drill.
6 (PRE)OPERATION
WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with the drill make you careless. One careless fraction of a
second is sufficient to inflict severe injury.
6.1 Charging the battery pack
The battery pack for this tool is supplied in a low charge condition to prevent possible
problems, therefore, you have to charge the battery before first use.
In order to charge the battery cell fully, the charging time in the first three charge cycles
must be over 12hours continnously. The charger for your POW X0170LI has 2 LED’s (red and
green), for your POW X0172, 0173 and 0175LI has 3 LED’s (red, green & yellow).
When the charger is plugged in, the red LED lights.
POW X0170LI : While charging the red & green LED light. When the battery is loaded, only
the green LED lights.
POW X0172, 0173 and 0175LI While charging the red LED lights and the yellow light flashes.
When the battery is loaded, the 3.LEDs (red, green & yellow) will light.
Note: The Li-ion battery will not reach full charge after the first charge. Allow several cycles
(drilling followed by recharging) for them to become fully charged.
To charge
! Charge battery pack only with the charger provided ! Using an other charger can
cause severe damage or even cause battery to explode. (charge current of the charger
is controlled/limited by a build-in PCB and adapted to the battery’s Voltage/capacity)
