! Make sure that the power supply is 230 Volts AC / 50Hz.

Depending on charger model :
POW X0170LI
Connect the charger to the power supply. Attach the battery pack to the charger by
aligning the raised ribs on battery pack with grooves in charger, then slide battery pack
onto the charger.

POW X0172, 0173 & 0175LI
Connect the charger to a power supply. Attach battery pack to charger : Align the raised ribs
on the battery pack with the grooves in the charger, then slide the battery onto the charger.
- For POW X0170LI (14.4V) the charging time after normal use is about 3-5 hours to be fully
charged.
- For POW X0172, 0173LI (18V) and POW X0175LI (21.6V) battery pack the charging time
after normal use is about 1 hour to be fully charged.

Note :
- The battery pack will become slightly warm while charging. This is normal and does not
indicate a problem.
- Do not place charger in an area of extreme heat or cold. It will work best at normal room
temperature.
- When the battery becomes fully charged, unplug your charger from the power supply and
remove the battery pack from the charger.

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the battery pack, remove the battery pack immediately from the charger
when no LED lights. Return battery pack and charger to your dealer for checking or replacing.
Do not insert a battery pack into a damaged charger, it may damage your battery pack.

Note :
Discharge : to protect the battery, it must not and can not be discharged too much. To
avoid this, your cordless drill is equipped with a PCD that checks the remaining battery
capacity, If it drops below the admissible lowest level, your machine will stop automatically and
the battery must be re-charged.

6.2

Install/remove battery pack.

- TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK ON YOUR CORDLESS DRILL
Lock the switch trigger on the drill by placing the forward/reverse) selector in its center position.
Slide the battery in its place. (Make sure the latch of your battery pack snaps in place and
battery pack is secured in the drill before beginning operation.)
- TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK
Lock the switch trigger on the drill by placing the forward/reverse) selector in its center position.
Locate latch on the front of the battery pack and depress it to release the battery pack from
the drill.
The battery pack will automatically disconnect in the direction it should be removed in.
Remove the battery pack from your drill.

6.3

On/off switch

To turn your drill ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn it OFF, release the switch trigger.

6.3.1

Variable speed

Your cordless drill has a variable speed switch. The rotational speed and torque will in-/
decrease equivalently to applied trigger pressure. This drill has an electric brake, when the
trigger switch is released, the chuck stops turning.
