Nothing appears on the LCD screen.

The camera may have shut off automatically to save
power. Press the

POWER

button to turn it back on.

Also make sure the mode dial is turned completely
to a mode.

When the camera is connected to a computer, the
LCD screen is disabled. When it is connected to a
printer, press any button to display the print progress
screen. After a moment, it disappears again.

Image Problems

Images are out of focus.

Place your subject in the center of the focus frame
and press the shutter button halfway. You see a green
focus frame. Reframe your photo as necessary and
press the button all the way down.

Make sure you are at least 20 inches away from your
subject (or 2 inches in Macro mode).

Make sure the lens is clean. If not, blow off any loose
dust, then breathe on the lens and wipe it with a
soft, dry cloth.

If the captured image is blurred, you may have
moved the camera. Hold the camera with your arm
close to your body when shooting. Use a tripod for
night scenes and other low light situations.
