18. Regarding Fig. 19: Place the grates (32) on the holders in

the grill pan.

19. Regarding Fig. 20: Place the warming grate (33) in the

holes on the lid and clamp the two supports into the holes
in the grill pan.
Now, the warming grate will be automatically lowered and/or
raised when the lid is opened and closed.

20. Regarding Fig. 21 and 22: As an alternative to the grate

(32), you can also use the cast iron grate (34) and the grill
platter (35). Both sides of the grill platter can be used. How-
ever, you should in any case make sure that the long hole
(35a) is located on the front of the grill platter. It carries the
grill platter lifter (36) that removes the grill platter.

21. Regarding Fig. 23: Open the electric ignition (19) by turn-

ing it to the left in a counterclockwise direction.
Insert the enclosed battery so that the plus pole (+) is point-
ing forward, out of the ignition.
Close the electric ignition (19) by turning it to the right, in a
clockwise direction.

Setting up the grill

Attention Risk of damage!

Any screw connections may gradually loosen during
use and affect the stability of the grill.

– Before you use the unit, always check to make sure the

screws are secure. If applicable, tighten all screws again to
ensure that the grill is stable.

1. Before you use the grill, position it on a level, solid base

located outdoors.

2. Before use, wash the grill grate and grill platter with warm

scouring water.

3. Place the gas canister next to or behind the grill and not at

all in the cabinet under the grill.

4. Check the gas canister and the connections for leaks (see

chapter “Checking for gas leaks”).

5. Check the grill burner for any blockages if you have not used

the grill for a prolonged period of time.

Connecting the gas canister

You will need a conventional, full canister propane or butane gas
to operate this grill.
Note: Depending on national standards, the figures may differ

for the hose, pressure regulator and gas canister.
In case of national requirements change the hose, if
necessary.

Danger Risk of fire/explosion/poisoning!

Leaking gas may form a highly explosive air/gas mix-
ture that could cause a fire or explosion and could

result in life-threatening injuries or death.

– Never connect the gas supply to the gas grill without a pres-

sure regulator that corresponds to the country-specific pres-
sure.

– Only use a hose connection between the device and the gas

canister, which does not exceed the recommended length of
1.5 m.

– Make sure that the gas hose has been firmly mounted and

that the hose connection is always accessible along its entire
length.

1. Turn the two temperature controls (20) to the position (Off).

2. Make sure that the gas canister valve (37) has been turned

to the closed position.

3. Screw the safety cap (if present) off of the canister valve

threading.

4. Check whether the gasket of the canister valve threading is

present and that it is in good condition. Do not use any extra
gaskets!

5. Screw the pressure regulator (23) onto the canister valve

threading as described in the instruction manual, which is
enclosed with the pressure regulator.

6. Lay the gas hose so that it does not kink or twist.

7. Check all connections for gas leaks (see chapter “Checking

for gas leaks”).

Checking for gas leaks

1. Turn the two temperature controls (20) to the position (Off).

2. Open the gas canister valve (37).

3. Rub all screw connections and the gas hose with soap wa-

ter. If bubbles form, a connection is loose or the gas hose is
cracked and may no longer be used.
Do not use the grill, but immediately close the canister valve
on the gas canister.

4. Check the screw connections and if applicable, tighten them

more. Then repeat the check.

5. If there is still a gas leak, do not in any case use the grill, but

consult our customer service team. You will find the contact
data in the chapter “Distributor”.

6. Close the canister valve when you are not using the grill.

Turning on/lighting

Danger Danger of explosion!

First read the following instructions on turning on/
lighting the grill and all warning and safety notes be-

fore you light the grill.

– Check the grill for cracks, puncturing or other damage before

you use it.

– Stop using the grill if the gas hose is damaged or porous.

– Open the grill lid before you ignite the burner. Otherwise,

the burner may ignite explosively, which could cause severe
physical injury or death.

Ignition system – Igniting the grill with the electric
ignition

1. Open the lid.

2. Open the gas canister valve (37) (the figures may differ for

the hose, pressure regulator and gas canister depending on
the respective national standards).
