3. Push and hold a temperature control on the grill, then turn it

to the position marked with the large flame

(Max).

4. Push and hold the push-button of the electric ignition (19).

You will hear the repeated click sound of the ignition tip.

5. Once the burner has been ignited, release the push-button

and also turn the other temperature control to the position
marked with the large flame

(Max), if necessary.

The second burner will ignite automatically.

Important! If the burner does not ignite, push the temperature

control and then turn it completely to (Off). Also turn
the valve of the gas canister to a closed position. Wait
3 minutes and either repeat the process or ignite the
burner the conventional way (see chapter “Conven-
tional lighting with matches”, below).

Conventional lighting with matches

Danger Burn hazard!

When using matches, always light the grill from be-
low, never from above.

1. Open the lid.

2. Open the gas canister valve (37) (the figures may differ for

the hose, pressure regulator and gas canister depending on
the respective national standards).
Do not lean over the grill area.

3. Push and hold a temperature control (20) on the grill and

turn it towards the large flame

(Max).

4. Insert from below a lit, conventional fireplace match (extra

long) through the large hole in the grill pan near the burner.

5. Repeat the process with the second burner.

Preheating/regulating the flame

• Heat the grill for 10 to 15 minutes at the maximum setting

before you start grilling.
Keep the lid closed in the process.

• By turning the temperature controls (20) towards “Minimum”

you can reduce the power and/or heat.

Tips for saving energy:
• Do not keep the lid open for too long.
• Turn off the grill as soon as you are done grilling.
• Only heat the grill for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Do not heat the grill longer than recommended.
• Do not set the burner higher than necessary.

Turning the grill off

• First turn the valve on the gas canister to the closed position

to burn off any remaining gas. Push and then turn the tem-
perature controls (20) to the position (Off).

• After use, disconnect the gas canister from the grill outdoors

only!

Maintenance and cleaning

Your grill is made of high-quality materials. In order to clean and
maintain the surfaces, please observe the following notes:

Danger Burn hazard!

Allow the grill to cool off completely before cleaning it.

Danger Health hazard!

Do not use any dye solvents or thinners to remove
spots. They are harmful to health and may not come

into contact with food.

Attention Risk of damage!

Do not use any strong or abrasive solvents or scour-
ing pads as they may attack and scratch the surfaces.

The grates, the enamelled cast iron grate (34) and the enamelled
grill platter (35) can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

• Clean the grill regularly, ideally after every use.
• After you have finished grilling, turn the grill on for 10 to 15

minutes without any food on it. This will burn remaining fat off
of the grate. Then let the grill cool off completely.

• Remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge.
• Take out the cast iron grate (34) and the grill platter (35) using

the grill platter lifter (36). To do so, insert the lifter into the long
hole (35a) on the front of the grill platter.

• Empty the grease pan before you clean it.
• In general, you should clean the grates, inner and outer sur-

faces and the grease pan with warm soap water.

• Use a soft, clean cloth for drying. Do not scratch the surface

when drying it.

• You do not have to grease the cast iron grate (34) and the grill

platter (35) after they have been washed.

• Make sure that the burner vents and nozzles are not dam-

aged when you clean them.

• Check regularly to make sure there are no insects in the

burner, which could plug the gas system and consequently
the gas supply. Also check all other areas in this respect. It is
possible that e.g. spiders may nest in the tubes.

• Regularly tighten all screws before using the grill to ensure

that the grill has a stable position.

Storage

• Do not leave the gas canister connected to the grill during

storage. The gas canister must always be stored in an up-
right position, never in a horizontal position
in a well ven-
tilated area and not below ground level (e.g. in the basement).

• Store the gas grill in a dry and dust-free space.
• If necessary, fold down the side racks (see Fig. 24: lift them

first and then fold them down).

• Cover the grill with the enclosed tarpaulin (39) (see Fig. 25).
• Before using the grill for the next time, check all parts and if

applicable, tighten the screws.
